All professional national and international sculptors can submit their proposals, by presenting the appropriate documents.
- Each sculptor will present one, and only one, original and unique piece of sculpture. The piece will be presented in its definite form and material and it will have never been exhibited before nor will it have been presented to any other competitions or prizes. Also, it will have never been included in catalogues or any other kind of publication and will not have been present in any other communication media.
- The size of the sculpture will be between one and two cubic metres.
- The author will be responsible of any damage or destruction of the artwork if this is due to the fragility of the material used for its execution.
- The period of application for the Biennial will be between February 5th and March 5th, 2007, inclusive. Interested artists must send via postal service, e-mail, CD or any other means at least three images of the artwork and the application form including details of the author and the artwork, fully completed and with the following documents:
1 - Photocopy of the DNI or any equivalent identity document.
2 - Application form with details of the author: nationality, tax identity number (NIF, NIE), full postal address, telephone/e-mail.
3 - Professional curriculum vitae including exhibitions, prizes, catalogues, publications, etc.
4 - Photographs of the artwork (minimum format 13x18 cm), indicating its correct positioning and, if necessary, exhibiting instructions..
5 - Details of the sculpture -title, date, materials, exact dimensions- signed by the author in order to guarantee the authenticity of the data, the originality of the artwork and its non-published nature. If any of the details proved to be incorrect, the sculpture will be withdrawn from the Biennial.
6 - Approximate market value of the artwork in view of a possible sale, unless the artist considers otherwise. - All documents and materials will be sent to the following postal address:

www.fmcva.org - Once all graphic materials and documents have been received –images of the artworks and related documents- the Jury will select those which will be admitted to partake in the BIENNIAL exhibition. The decision will be communicated to selected sculptors, which must deliver the artwork before March 18th, 2007.
- All selected artworks, correctly identified, will be delivered to the following address:
Museo Patio Herreriano.from 10 to 14 and from 16 to 20, from March 12th to 18th, 2007 inclusive.

47003 Valladolid, - The arrangement and expenses of delivery of the artwork to and from the above address–the return of the artworks will take place before June 1st, 2007- will be responsibility of the participants. The Organization of the Biennial will therefore not be held liable for any damage caused in transport. If the artwork should not have been collected before the above date, the Organization will give the sculptures the destination it esteems opportune.
- All descriptive materials regarding nonselected artworks will be returned to the authors upon request.
- The opening and unpacking of the sculptures will take place in the presence of a notary.
The Jury will be formed by members of the artworld and will be designated by the Fundación Municipal de Cultura of the Valladolid City Hall. Its decisions will be indisputable.
- An exhibition will be organized with the selected sculptures and will be located in a covered space in the Hospedería Patio of the Monastery of San Benito, Valladolid from March 23rd to May 14th, 2007.
- Selected authors grant the Fundación Municipal de Cultura all exhibition and publication rights on the occasion of the Biennial.
- The Biennial will be fully responsible for the installation of the artworks.
The Organization of the Biennial will arrange insurance to cover any incident which may affect the artworks from the moment of unpacking of the sculptures until the moment of their packing at the end of the event, including exhibition time. Both packing and unpacking will take place in the presence of a notary. However, each artist is free to arrange complementary insurance.
- Publication. A volume will be published which will include selected artworks and details, images of the sculptures and the CV. Each selected artist will be entitled to ten free copies.
- Internet. Information of selected artworks and information related to their authors will be published in the BIENNIAL website and in the website of the Fundación Municipal de Cultura.
- Posters, leaflets, banners, will be produced by the BIENNIAL to ensure maximum publicity of the exhibition.
- Communication Media. A communication programme will be geared towards specialised media and general information media.
All artworks will be for sale (unless otherwise expressed) from the beginning of the exhibition at the price indicated by the author. Any Company, Institution or Body, public or private, will be entitled to purchase a sculpture present in the Biennial (the Organization will only facilitate contact between the interested party and artist. The artworks will be collected at the end of the exhibition).
- There will be one undividable Prize of 30.000 euros, which will not be declared void.
- The Jury may grant up to three Honourable Mentions with no related monetary prize.
- The Prize will be subject to its corresponding tax deduction.
- The prize will be presented in a public act..
- The winning artwork will become part of the artistic heritage of the Fundación Municipal de Cultura of the Valladolid City Hall. This institution will have all rights over it, including the possibility of exhibiting it and presenting it in all media, indicating in all cases the name of the author and its prize-winning character.
- For whatever matter not mentioned in the present Regulations, the decision will be dictated by the Organizing body.
- Participation in the Valladolid Sculpture Biennial Exhibition 2007 implies the acceptance of the rules of the organization and of the decisions of the Jury.
